Roller Coaster Redux
Someone- I have an idea
who- has stopped this
frightful ride, dead in its tracks.
All the foreboding downhill rushes,
and the loop de loops at whirlwind
speeds no longer concern or challenge
me. I am back to if not center,
at least square one, where I have found
fresh directions about how to navigate
this human vehicle in waters either
calm or shark infested. Go ahead,
plop me in a rowboat without life preserver
or oars, and watch me shout for more.
Now, I am ready, bring it on, all you
got. I am eager, to engage myself
in the dance of no steps at all,
as I once more, let go,
simply let go into a mighty freefall
fearless, for I remember just whose
arms will catch this mortal one.
As an Ecstatic Poet, my aim is to awaken in you, the part of you that knows the truth of your being, the beauty of your soul.
