Upon arising very early this morning, the question as to which came first was on my mind? Having had a varied spiritual path from being raised Jewish to later taking Buddhist Refuge Vows, this seemed to me to be a natural course of inquiry.
The which I awoke with was referring to higher states of consciousness, those shifts in our very perceptions of reality that so many of us are experiencing at this critical juncture for humanity. So, are we truly shifting our consciousness higher and higher or is something else entirely going. Kind of a play on the old adage about which came first, the chicken or the egg?
Recently, in a Oneness Blessing process called Sacred Chambers, I experienced a new shift in consciousness that for this Jewbu [as Lama Chuck irreverently referred to me ] was truly startling. The short version is that while meditating upon a particular channeled painting of Jesus, I had what I will affectionately refer to as a 'come to Jesus meeting'.
What this really was, for me, was a reckoning of Christ Consciousness. And this Christ Consciousness was expansive enough to include Judaism, Buddhism and the many other paths that I have walked along this human journey as an infinite being.
Which brings us back to the original question: which came first? I have concluded, as many others have, that this Arisen state of Consciousness is our true nature and to have experienced yet another awakening, is to again return home, to a merging of the Consciousness of all Consciousness.
As an Ecstatic Poet, my aim is to awaken in you, the part of you that knows the truth of your being, the beauty of your soul.
